A Very Nice Set of Areas

Big decisions lie ahead of me. I know one thing is for sure: I want to end up in New York, and I want to be there in about a month or two. I’m saying that loosely, but in the back of my mind, I know that I really just want to get there within about 45 days. That’s the realistic goal that I’m setting for myself, and I’m going to try to stick to it. I think that there are many different areas that I’d like to try, but I’ve narrowed it down to Chelsea, Clinton and Murray Hill. I just look at these neighborhoods, and they epitomize what I think I’d like to become when we’re talking about New York City residents. There are some areas that are not so nice, and living in that kind of space just does not appeal to me. If I could get one of those nice Chelsea NY apartments though, for example, I think that I could really come into my own. Or if I was living in Clinton New York apartments, I just think that I’d be able to settle in and have that real, gritty “New York” experience. People talk about coming to New York City and just transforming their lives in a way, and I truly want this too. It’s just a matter of finding out where I want to be.

Clinton and Chelsea are both strong choices for me, but I ultimately think that I’ll end up in one of the Murray Hill New York apartments on the market. It’s just a far more relaxed environment for me. Plus, my friend Michelle lives right there and she’s always been my rock. Even when we don’t see each other all that much, she’s always just a phone call away, and I know that she’s the type of friend who will pick up the phone at any time during the day, no matter when you happen to call her. So to have someone who’s that important to me in close proximity is something that I really value.

I know that I will find my home in the Big Apple. It’s going to be a matter of really doing the right research though and properly settling in. If I force the issue and end up in a neighborhood that I don’t like, then it’s going to be a mess. I will have signed a lease on a place that doesn’t reflect my personality. But, between Murray Hill, Chelsea and Clinton, I’m quite sure that I will find someplace that is sufficient. I will try to stick to my 45 day period of time, but if it doesn’t come, I’m not going to settle for something that I don’t quite like.
